How the internship works
This isn't a fixed course with a set timetable. You're placed alongside a psychologist and given real work, on a schedule that bends around your studies.

Psychologist assigned as a supervisor
At the start you're paired one-on-one with a psychologist from our panel. They supervise you for the whole internship and decide what you work on.

Set a schedule around college
You and your mentor agree on timings that fit your lectures, exams, and other commitments — over 1 or 2 months, at a pace that works for you.

Take on assigned duties
Your mentor hands you real work week to week: theoretical discussions, case observations, therapy observation, and psychological assessments.

Attend realtime therapy case discussions
Join supervision meetings where the senior team reviews live cases together — the closest look you'll get at how clinicians actually reason.

One psychologist from this panel becomes your mentor for the whole internship — they assign your duties, review your work, and sign your recommendation letter.

Duties & Exposure
What your mentor assigns
The exact mix varies by intern and by where your mentor needs you, but your duties are drawn from these areas of real clinical work.
Theoretical Discussions
One-on-one and small-group deep dives on case formulation, the Mental Status Exam, clinical interviewing, and 1st–4th wave therapy models.
Case Observations
Sit in on real intake and case-history sessions and watch how a clinician builds a full picture of a client.
Therapy Observation
Observe live therapy under supervision and see core skills in practice — empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard.
Psychological Assessments
Hands-on practice administering and scoring projective and objective tests, including the Rorschach, MCMI, and more.
Notes & Report Writing
Document case histories and write up assessments and reports, reviewed and corrected by your mentor.
Supervision Meetings
Attend supervision sessions where senior psychologists review and discuss ongoing cases as a team.
Maintain logbook to fulfill university credit requirements
Across the 1 or 2-month duration, you get credits for 120 hours or 240 hours of supervised clinical work. On completion you receive a certificate stating your logged hours and the duties you carried out, plus a recommendation letter — both signed by RCI-licensed clinical psychologists. Students from DU, IGNOU, Amity University and other similar institutes enrolled in B.A. Psychology, B.A. Applied Psychology, B.A. Counselling Psychology, B.Sc. Psychology, M.A. Psychology, M.A. Applied Psychology, M.A. Counselling Psychology, M.A. Clinical Psychology, M.Sc. Clinical Psychology register with us for our offline psychology internship program in South Delhi near AIIMS Delhi, Safdarjung Hospital, Hauz Khas.
